He served as Senior Managing Consultant at Cisco Consulting Services advising some of N. America's largest financial institutions on technology strategy, implementation, and digital process trans-formation. While at Cisco, Mark was a key member of strategic development teams that defined Cisco’s M&A and competitive strategies in (Big) Data Analytics and Blockchain and provided strategic guidance to FinTech start-ups as a Barclays’ Rise NYC accelerator program Mentor.


Mark has held multiple leadership roles within BMO Financial Group’s IT organization, including business technology strategy, strategic vendor management and Talent Development and led IT Ops. Management teams at Rogers Communications and AT&T.

Mark has led computer software and hardware companies to massive growth and strategic dominance with progressive roles as VP Sales and Marketing, SVP Global Sales, COO, President and CEO.  

Mark led Xplore Technologies to become #2 in the Rugged Tablet and Mobile Solutions Market globally; building the team, products, sales channels and supplier partnerships to support expanding worldwide sales.  His experience also includes mergers and acquisitions and system implementations (ERP, CRM)  that drove increased productivity and higher gross margins. As CEO of Wavesat Wireless, Mark led his team in $16 million in fundraising, business growth internationally and the development of new, innovative products. He was also the Country Manager for Cabletron Systems of Canada, a global manufacturer of networking computer equipment.

Lana is an empathetic leader with proven success as a public speaker and teacher with deep knowledge in The Psychology of Effective Communications, Women and Communication, and Philosophy of Emotions.

In her past position at Commanding Presence, Lana extensively researched public speaking and its relationship to anxiety, charisma, leadership, and speechwriting. Lana has also developed a number of resources, including social media content, online and live courses, and related materials to assist high performing senior executives and business leaders in overcoming presentation anxiety. As a result, she has helped clients significantly improve their presentation skills, with a particular emphasis on effective public communication (both verbal and non-verbal), leading to superior audience engagement, presence, improved leadership skills, and career advancement.

Her broad and deep domain experience spans Aerospace/Defense Systems R&D and general contracting for the US Coast Guard Search & Rescue, BAE Systems and Honeywell to Innovation Ecosystem Development and Retail & Hospitality Management tied to successful investments in three Boston-area restaurant concepts.  

Her remarkable, problem-solving mindset is grounded in a world-class education in engineering systems with degrees from Caltech and MIT.


Carrie's also has a passion for building sustainability through community resilience and supportive networks leading to:

  • co-founding Venture Café in Cambridge, Mass. a global brand, service and nexus for entrepreneurs, innovators, and investors;  

  • consulting in creative place-making/retail strategy at Graffito SP for clients Jamestown LP, Athenahealth and MassDevelopment, and;

  • launching a virtual community for Harvard Innovation Labs.
